Electrician Strathfield

Strathfield has some of the most impressive homes in Sydney's inner west, and we've worked in plenty of them. The big Federation and Inter-war places along Albert Road, around Strathfield Park, and up towards the private schools are a particular focus for us. These homes were built to last, but their electrical systems are a different story.

We regularly find original VIR cabling (the rubber insulation crumbles when you touch it), porcelain fuse holders, and switchboards screwed to asbestos backing boards. Last year we rewired a 1920s home on Rochester Street where the previous owner had been running a modern kitchen, ducted air conditioning, and a home office off a 40-amp main. The switchboard was warm to the touch.

The newer apartment blocks around Strathfield station and the townhouse developments towards Homebush bring different work. Strata electrical jobs, unit rewires, and helping owners add EV charging in basement car parks. We handle the body corporate paperwork and coordinate with building managers.

When we rewire a Federation place, we work around the ornate plaster ceilings and picture rails rather than cutting through them. It takes longer, but you're not left with patches everywhere. We use existing cable routes where possible and only open up walls when absolutely necessary.
